Foursquare Tips

  • Come for the well-curated "summer reading" table, but stay for the mezzanine's starbucks cafe-- you might be supporting two megachains at once, but the city recently gave them an A for cleanliness
  • What is MY Favorite thing? Hands Down It IS my Moleskine - Weekly Planner. This simple little book has saved my LIFE on countless occasions. Want to get organized?? All you need is THIS!!!
  • Best Barnes & Noble ever!!!!!
  • If the top floor cafe is too noisy for you, the 2nd floor of Barnes & Noble will find much more peaceful areas to read in. So you can grab the magazine for 4 and bring it down to 2!
  • Surprisingly spacious hideaway for book lovers - skip the crowded downstairs lobby area for nice carrels upstairs.
  • If you go to the Starbuck's Cafe, request a Godiva Hot Chocolate with extra espresso from Erin. She is the barista supreme!
  • I agree. Bathroom smell awful
  • There are plenty of good books to choose from whether you are seven or seventy there is always something interesting. There are book ranges from fairy tales all the way to books for computer codes.
  • Shit shops :( their database say that they have book. But really NO. Then we book book in another shop and there no books again! Worst book shop!
  • Regents books for my baby
  • It was reported by the NYC Dept of Health that a 9 year old likely caught hepatitis from their bathroom. Why wasn't it shut down???
  • I could get lost in here for hours.
  • Extraordinary choice!
  • The staff is very friendly and helpful despite the stuffy, fussy, entitled folks in the neighborhood. They're always nice!
  • Great selection, and wonderful surprise gems
  • Good place to get a coffee and catch up on some reading
  • Shitty wifi I was only here to steal the wifi so if that's your move don't come here
  • Last of dying breed. Plenty big.
  • Discounts on new books aren't bad, but the selection is consistently disappointing.
  • Nothing quite like the wonderful smell of a real-life bookstore. Aaah, breathe deep.
