Tips

  • Italian specialty goods, imported cheese, and some hefty sandwiches. Aim for ones with homemade mozzarella or ricotta.
  • Sandwiches are nearly as big as Parisi's but with fresher meats. So good! Plus, super friendly staff.
  • Get a rice ball, and then eat it out of your hand while you walk to your destination.
  • my favorite italian deli.
  • Salami, Soppressata, Prosciutto, Peppers, Provolone, Oil and vinegar on an italian hero
  • my spot for lunch when I'm working from home (rotate between any of their four basic sandwiches)
  • #1 Italian combo. Best cold cut sandwich for lunch in town.
  • Prosciutto, roasted red peppers, and mozzarella on a hero. If you didn't order this, you screwed up.
  • Established 1892. Continuously family owned. Oldest Little Italy cheese shop. Original tiled walls and tin ceiling. Painted glass signs advertising "Burro e Uova" and "Latticini di Nostra Produzione."
  • Get a prosciutto & mozzarella sandwich and enjoy. It's amazing.
  • The Italian Combo is the tits.
  • The pepperoni from Alleva is great! Just like the kind on Lomardi's pizza. Much better than that hormel stuff.
  • Best. Sandwiches. Ever.
  • Get the Italian Combo. Plenty of meat on hearty Italian bread.
  • This place has all the charm of NY in the 1920s (it's apparently the oldest cheese store in the country), and their sandwiches are simple and delicious.
  • Don't miss! Huge sandwiches with good prices and awesome produtcs.
  • Check out the panini's
  • Love love love this place. One of the few remnants of old Little Italy. Excellent mozzarella, soppressata, prosciutto, etc. Really nice people, too. Only caveat - the olives are only OK.
  • Sandwiches do big I eat half for lunch and half for my 4pm snack. Try San Danielle prosciutto + mozzarella. And then grab some alla Calce olives.
  • One of my favorite lunch spots. $7.75 for a hero that can easily feed 2.
