Tips

  • Must order the Bread Pudding for dessert & of course, Fritz Cabernet or Chardonnay by the glass/bottle!
  • Manhattans are fantastic! Highly recommend the Fritz Cab and the hard to find allocation only Fritz Ros.
  • Meat is murder!
  • Newly renovated and owned Alfred's Steakhouse! Love the traditional old-school professional service and atmosphere. Nothing fancy, just really solid delicious meats.
  • Their Bull Market Dinner is awesome!
  • Fogged up Fridays for happy hour. Huge pours of any whiskey for 30% off, $6 Martinis but really $3 since the shaker is big enough for 2. Sliders, tuna tartare and meatball apps were hittin
  • Excelente lugar, ambiente, comida y atencin (los meseros son muy atentos en vdd)... Vale cada dolar :)
  • Terra Valentine Cabernet by the glass is a great match for the steaks
  • very nice atmosphere and the steaks are OK
  • From the incredibly delicious tater tots to the oysters, Alfreds knocks it out of the park! Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but worth the trip! Two thumbs up
  • The Daniel Patterson Group (Coi, Aster) redid this historic steakhouse, while still retaining an old-school vibe. Steaks are now grass-fed, making it an even more deeply-embedded SF establishment.
  • The steaks are great, but save room for desert! The bananas foster and Irish coffee make for a great tableside show
  • Everything a classic American steakhouse should have and be.
  • In an attempt to honor old management, the new owners of this 90 year old establishment are putting in work to keep this place special and memorable while improving the quality of the restaurant.
  • Solid steak. Tableside service!
  • Ask for Michael to make you Spanish coffee. #noregrets
  • One of the city's oldest restaurants, this spot still ranks among the city's best steakhouses. The chief attractions are giant Chicago ribeyes, tender T-bones and a porterhouse that covers the plate.
  • Closed on Mondays. Very important.
  • Try the Flourless Cabernet Chocolate Torte - Excellent presentation, amazing desert.
  • Try the Gnocchi - This was amazing the pesto, nuts, everything was great about this dish.
