Foursquare Tips

  • The Multnomah Whiskey Library has nursed long lines and wait times since day one. The crowds are flocking for the gorgeously appointed room and the some-1,500 bottles of booze that line the walls.
  • I've been to bars the world over, and very few can match this selection, service, and ambiance. Be prepared to wait or make a reservation. It's worth it. Very worth it.
  • Library without books
  • You can get half-pours (flight style) if you'd prefer to taste several spirits. After all, the more the merrier!
  • Thousands of bottles of whiskey and other spirits, plus cocktails served from custom bar carts.
  • Get on the list, head across the street to Tasty & Alder for dinner and your seat should be ready when you're done.
  • This temple of whiskey is worth the wait, for both rare spirits and well-made cocktails.
  • Never ever going back. Arrogant pricks.
  • Place looks amazing inside, but I was unfortunately not able to try any whiskies: a 1 hour wait at 6:45 on a Wednesday!
  • Even if you just grab a drink downstairs in the Green Room, sneak a peek of the whiskey library upstairs!
  • Multnomah Whisk{e}y Library was voted the Best Boozy Date Spot by OkCupid users in the first-ever Daters' Choice Awards! Tap Read more for additional date spot categories in Portland. #daterschoice
  • If you love whiskey, or a dim and lux environment, this is the spot. Either come early and get your name on the list, then walk around the neighborhood for a bit, or pay for a reservation.
  • Great cocktail lounge, friendly staff, huge selection of whiskies available in a speakeasy-like environment. Certainly a visit worth making while in downtown Portland
  • This is the man cave you've always wanted to hang out in. Whiskey lovers, you won't be disappointed: there are over 1,000+ types here. Great atmosphere. Definitely bring a few friends or a date.
  • Service, selection, uniqueness, ambiance.
  • Super cozy seating and the most amazing whiskey list you will ever see. So worth the wait.
  • I'd give this place 1000 thumbs up. Green room was very cool. Excellent staff. YEA, you have to wait to get to the library, but man is it worth it. Enjoy spirits of choice. I'd go 100 times.
  • make reservations or go before 4pm
  • Amazing location and a matching collection of 400+ single malt whiskies incl. closed distilleries. Prices from 5$ to above 500$ per 4cl. Some are a bit pricy compared to the collectors bottle price.
  • Pages and pages of things of things to try. George Dickel is a good way to start if you are into Whiskeys.
