Tips

  • Modeled on neighborhood Creole Italian places from New Orleans, so along with the burrata salad you get oyster po' boys, crawfish garnishing grilled fish, and fried shrimp with artichokes.
  • Around the corner on Avocado St. are the only remaining avocado trees from a large grove that stretched across much of Los Feliz. The trees are over 100 years old and designated as historic landmarks.
  • The rice balls are a must order: dark golden, baseball size balls with ultra crispy shells that give way to toothsome, mushroom-infused rice and hearts of oozy mozzarella.
  • In the Loz Feliz section of Hollywood, this breakfast locale serves brunch dishes that range from $5-$7. Featuring dishes like pancakes with fresh ricotta, the food is different but affordable.
  • We recommend the Sweet Focaccia. It changes every day, but you can bet on fresh fruit and a bright sweet glaze, gently laid over a beautiful disc of focaccia
  • Whiskey, breakfast pizza, and an awesome vibe? Mikel Jollett of the Airborne Toxic Event could only describe it as one of those joints where if you showed up in a fedora, nobody would bat an eye.
  • The food and atmosphere are great. We at the A.List especially appreciate the tasty three-course Monday Night Supper for just $15, and the $3 Peronis.
  • Breakfast pizza with two eggs. Trust me. Pancakes are awesome too.
  • If you havent eaten here you haven't lived the LA life. No, seriously you should pack your shit and leave. Did I mention the champagne specials?! Go and eat all the things!!
  • Featured in LA Weekly's "30 Burgers In 30 Days"
  • One of my favorite eating spots. Perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner or just picking up a quick sandwich. -Danielle Keene, Top Chef Just Desserts
  • Make a reservation. It's a popular place and can get pretty busy.
  • Great bar and great food with an old school vibe and outdoor seating.
  • Best spaghetti and meatballs I've had in years.
  • Every time I go to the restaurant I run into something a regular would have known, like the fact that the brunch frittatas are tough but the poached eggs with fennel-pollen Hollandaise are luscious.
  • Featured in LA Weekly's 99 Essential Restaurants!
  • Diane Kruger, Michelle Williams, and January Jones have been spotted dining at this casual Los Feliz offshoot of the West Hollywood staple, Dominicks.
  • $5 valet! Use it! Helps people who live in the neighborhood get parking on their street and keeps your car safe from love taps and scratches from the tight parking
  • So good! Go for dinner.
  • Grab your fedora (LA-based Airborne Toxic Event promises no one will care) and head out to this Italian joint. Try the Breakfast Pizza or one of their whiskeys!
