Foursquare Tips

  • UES? speakeasy? The Auction House!
  • It's dark, seductive, romantic, and a gem of a speakeasy. If you're lucky you can snag a seat on a couch.
  • Salacious, opulent, & cozy atmosphere!
  • Red couch in the big room is the pimp spot. Many a makeout have happened here.
  • The bartender is awesome.
  • If you hate the UES because you can't seem to escape the sports bars with the obnoxious stereotypical college crowd, come here on a Saturday- must be 25 to enter. Hollarrrr. Loves it!
  • Nice and comfortable, great place to drink and have a conversation with friends without the need to scream
  • Hands down my favorite bar above 14th street. Real candles? Velvet upholstery? Led Zeppelin? Sold!
  • Do not wear fur in here! You won't get served and the bartenders turn into real jerks. Apparently owners rule.
  • No! No! No!
  • Awesome playlist. LCD sound system, David Bowie, Black Keys, Buddy Hollyy
  • Super cozy speak easy on the UES. Chill vibe.
  • I think the best bar in UES.
  • A great bar if you're looking for a quiet drink. A vintage velvet lounge. Very quiet.
  • This darkened dive spot offers a full bar, few lights and medieval dcor that teeters between sexy and downright strange, but it works.
  • Place sucks! Was told that you have to be 25 to get in. Lame!!
  • love love love
  • Go for the drinks. Seek out the couch. Stay for the music.
  • Sample 3 different beers on tap
  • Great setting. Big paintings, fabric curtains. Low lighting.
