Tips

  • The picante is spicy and delicious. Chorizo with Basque peppers, tomatoes, a soft cheese, and a healthy dose of olive oil on a big crusty ciabatta.
  • This is quickly turning into my go-to lunch spot. Any of the bocadillos rival what you'd find in Barcelona. Also, you could fill yourself up on FREE SAMPLES of chorizo & cheese alone - amuse bouche!
  • After eating, buy some ingredients for a DIY paella: Bomba rice, olive oil, chorizo, pimentn, and saffron. Ask at the counter, and they'll cheerfully give instructions for cooking the rice.
  • Excellent one-stop shop for Spanish specialty ingredients: cured meat, cheese, oils, and more. We dig the sandwiches, too.
  • go nuts on the samples while you wait for your bocadillo.
  • Get a chorizo bocadillo or a slice of real tortilla espanola (My fave!) while you shop for anything Spanish. Love it here!
  • The picante sandwich was great!
  • Best Spanish Restaurants in NYC: You simply can't go wrong with their tapas or bocadillos here. Try their jamon serrano, amazing. Great spot for lunches!
  • Make sure you sample all the meats and cheeses twice before ordering, because, you know, research.
  • I want to live here.
  • Order a traditional Serrano sandwich and ask for it with warm manchego and mixed greens.
  • my sandwich was dry
  • Pro tip: if you get your sandwich to go, ask for some olive oil to go with it.
  • My go-to for gifts to bring to out of town hosts - for 10-20 you can put together a little package of imported packaged foods that impress.
  • Take a lesson from me: never get any sandwich besides the picnte.
  • While you wait for your delicious chorizo sandwich, fill up on all the chorizo, bread, and cheese samples located around the entrance.
  • The picante bocadillo is a must here. Don't forget to do some shopping too if you have time, great Spanish product!!
  • Cafe con leche en hielo con simple syrup. How Summer is done.
  • Chorizo, cheese, and REAL TORTILLA
  • The Picante Bocadillo is incredible - Chorizo sausage, mahon cheese, spicy peppers, tomatoes, and alioli. While you wait, go splittsies on the chorizo with chestnuts
