Flavoring cheese with anything is always risky. Infusing sweet, autumnal pumpkin spice is next level risky. Though it sounds like a prank, Beemster released a pumpkin spice-infused Gouda. They recommend serving it in savory sandwiches with turkey or ham, but we’re not so sure.
We humans may be obsessed with pumpkin spice, but this doesn’t mean our dogs will be too. Don’t force your own tastes and cravings into your dog’s mouth: We’re 99 percent certain they won’t appreciate pumpkin spice treats, anyway.
We’re not a big fan of sugary, sweet gum after the age of 10 and tend to stick to spearmint, but there’s a big difference between mint chocolate chip gum and one that tastes like pumpkin pie. Extra’s pumpkin spice gum will make your breath taste like a candle, and we’re not so sure that’s a good thing.

How many trendy foods can you pack into one container? With pumpkin spice hummus (offered by Cedar’s Foods), the answer is, well, two — but that’s at least one too many. We’re not so sure how the flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves fit in with hummus, and we’re not too anxious to find out.

Pumpkin spice can (and often does) go too far, but we still love it in autumnal baked goods. That doesn’t mean every ingredient in your cookies needs to have pumpkin spice in it. But sweet Pringles are never as successful as their savory counterparts, and the blend of nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, potato, and salt in the pumpkin spice Pringle is as off-putting as it sounds.
Yo dawg, we heard you like pumpkins so we put pumpkin on your pumpkin so you can pumpkin while you pumpkin. We just can’t wrap our heads around coating an actual pumpkin product with artificially flavored pumpkin spice. This creation seems like an insult to the original food that this flavor was supposedly based on.
Pumpkin spice-flavored chicken sausage is oh-so real. As we’ve said before, we don’t need pumpkin spice in our savory applications. Pairing this sausage with some peppers and onions seems downright disgusting.
New for 2017, pumpkin spice spray is a part of Simply Organic’s spray-on herbs collection. While the other sprays tasted delightfully of oregano or roasted garlic, the pumpkin spice spray is reminiscent of a particularly fragrant candle. We can’t for the sake of us think of a single practical application of this, except for as a truly bizarre perfume.
Flavored water can be a great way to stay hydrated if you’re not a fan of everyday, unflavored H2O. But mixing together the flavors of pumpkin pie with water is a far cry from lime or cherry-flavored beverages. You can get your fall fix elsewhere, we’re sure of it.
