How was your commute today?

Life in the big city is busy, to say the least. In the midst of the rat race, you don’t have the time or patience to say hi to your neighbors (like they do in the country) or to stop and walk around that tourist. You know what you do have time for? Complaining!

From hipsters to tourists to gentrification to rent costs to public transportation, people in major metropolitan areas love to complain about the things that make a big city, well, big. Call it a unifying thing. If there’s one thing everyone can agree on regardless of socioeconomic status, it’s that having to take the train in to work is a major pain.

But not everything in the big city is bad. Sure, you can’t have a big, old fluffy dog in your tiny studio apartment, but you do have Seamless and endless ways to get from place to place (which is important, since you probably don’t have a car or driver’s license). So call an Uber and get ready to hear these 20 phrases… only in the big city, of course.
