Seamless Adds Amazon Alexa Skill So Now You Can Order Food Hands-Free

In March, Grubhub introduced reordering from its services through Amazon Alexa, and now Seamless is following suit. Starting Thursday, May 4, Seamless users can order food from more than 50,000 restaurants across the country using only the sound of their voice.

"We're always evolving the ordering process to adapt to the 'on-the-go' lifestyle of our busy New York diners," Sudev Balakrishnan, senior vice president of product at Grubhub, said in a statement. "The new Alexa skill will delight diners with the added convenience of quickly reordering some of their favorite meals, using only their voice."

Similar to the Grubhub feature, Seamless' Alexa integration allows users to reorder from their last three orders and reorder a meal from a local restaurant.

After enabling the function, users can say "Alexa, open Seamless" or "Alexa, tell Seamless I'm hungry" to get the process started, then simply wait for food to be delivered directly to the door.
