Forget Chocolate Milk, Make Nutella Milk

Chocolate milk can be a wonderful sweet treat, much loved by children and adults. A cold glass of milk, whether it is whole, skim, almond, or coconut, can be transformed instantly into something delectable with a simple spoonful of powdery chocolate mix. If you are a diehard Nestle Nesquik fan or a Hershey's syrup devotee, what I am about to say may conjure some powerful feelings from within — but please, bear with me.

Nutella has its own loyal following  and even beyond that, scores of cooks, both home and professional, make their own version of the sweet, chocolatey hazelnut spread.

People use Nutella in many ways, from simply spreading it on toast to making Nutella pizzas, Nutella stuffed zeppole, cakes, and even more. There's certainly no shortage of recipes that call for a jar of hazelnut spread, be it homemade or store-bought — but what to do when the jar is practically empty? The solution is chocolate milk, and it is so simple. Just pour your milk of choice into the nearly empty jar, put the lid back on (make sure it is very secure) and shake like billy-o. Channel your favorite bartender and keep shaking the jar until the Nutella that has been stuck in those hard to reach places mixes with the milk to come together in a harmonious, emulsified, milky, chocolatey, and slightly frothy union. Pour into your favorite glass, sit back, and enjoy the dregs of that Nutella jar.
