3 Ordering Tips To Get A Better Chick-Fil-A Breakfast

Add Daily Meal on Google:

Chick-fil-A is something of a chicken behemoth, with more than 3,000 restaurants operating across 48 U.S. states, plus D.C., Puerto Rico, and Canada (if you're curious, Alaska and Vermont are the two states that are still without a single Chick-fil-A location).

Chick-fil-A is famed for its mouthwatering signature chicken, as well as salads, sides, and shakes. But did you know that their offerings go beyond lunch and dinner? Yes, Chick-fil-A has a lot of great breakfast options too (as well as a few items that might be worth skipping).

Chick-fil-A breakfast is typically served until 10:30 AM. Keep in mind, however, that some locations may close early, and others will stop actually making new food around 10:15 or so, so make sure to arrive with plenty of time before the changeover. And, don't try to get breakfast there on a Sunday, when all the brand's locations are closed.

If you do make it early enough to grab breakfast at Chick-fil-A, here are some tips for getting the most out of your meal.

Download the app

It's no secret that one of the best ways to get deals at fast food places these days is to join their loyalty program, and Chick-fil-A is no exception. The Chick-fil-A app is pretty easy to use and customers seem to be reasonably happy with it—it's currently rated at 4.8 out of 5 on Google Play, which is a significantly higher rating than the apps for McDonald's or Taco Bell received.

After downloading the app, you can become a member of the company's loyalty program, Chick-fil-A One and start earning points with every purchase that you can use towards your next breakfast. Members are also entitled to some other fun rewards as well, including a yearly birthday reward and early notifications about new and upcoming menu items. At the higher tiers of the program, you can also gift rewards to friends and family, and maybe even get a chance to grab some Chick-fil-A swag.

Make sure your breakfast sandwich is fresh

How do fast food restaurants get their food out to you so fast? One way is by making items ahead of time, keeping them warm, and then handing them over to customers right away once they're ordered. This is a great way to be efficient, but it does mean that your breakfast item might have been sitting out for a little while before it gets to you.

If you're yearning for the freshest possible breakfast biscuit from Chick-fil-A, there's a way to avoid a common ordering mistake and ensure that it's been made just for you. Simply ask for a slight alteration. For example, if you order a chicken, egg, and cheese biscuit without the cheese, or with added bacon, you know they'll be putting together a newly made one instead of the standardized one that was ready to go. That means the least amount of time between the griddle and your mouth.

Upgrade standard menu items

While Chick-fil-A is no stranger to some customer complaints, one thing they are doing right is allowing a high degree of customizability. While the chain doesn't have a secret menu per se — there's no covert series of words you can utter to a server to have them reveal menu items you've never seen before — these customization options allow you to be creative and concoct some combinations that aren't standard.

If you're looking for a good off-menu breakfast combo, Chick-Fil-A itself has a solid recommendation for you on their website. Titled the Chick-N-Minis Masterpiece, you will need to order a 4-count Chick-n-Minis, hash browns, and your favorite sauce. To create it, "Open a Chick-n-Minis roll, dip the hash brown in your favorite Chick-fil-A sauce, stack it on top of the chicken, close the roll, and enjoy."

Of course, this is just one option. Let your imagination run wild about what items you can adjust or combine together to make a uniquely delicious breakfast for yourself.
