Back-To-School Snacks For Between-Class Munching

As we start gearing up for back to school, we are starting to remember how drastically different our schedules are during this time of the year. During the summer, we have a lot of free time to explore and relax, but once school starts it's all about the classes, rigorous schedules, and after-school activities. Sometimes it feels like we hardly have time to breathe, let alone eat.

Unfortunately, most days we go hungry as we hustle from class to class, giving up good food for late-night studying and intense homework sessions. But feeling full is one of the best ways to keep yourself from being distracted from your work, and your body needs the energy. Since most of the time we can't sit down to eat a meal, we've gathered up a few foods that are perfect for munching on the go in between classes.

Wraps

Wraps are great because you can fill them with pretty much anything you want, and their in a tight little package. That means they can be eaten while walking (or running) to class. If you don't have time in the morning, eat this breakfast wrap on the way. Or you can put this healthy chicken and black bean wrap in your bag for later on in the day.

Protein Bars

Protein bars are a great blast of energy for in between class that are super portable and small so they won't take up too much room in your backpack. This recipe uses apples, oatmeal, and chocolate for a chewy bar that will give you a good boost of energy.

Trail Mix

This is one of the ultimate customizable power foods. Anything you want, you can pretty much put in trail mix, but you have to make sure that you have a good amount of protein in there. Not to mention that trail mix is cheap to make, which is always a plus for any student.
