The Best Aldi Bakery Finds Of 2026 (So Far)
Aldi is a popular destination for affordable groceries and surprisingly tasty foods. And even though it doesn't have an in-store bakery like Lidl or Walmart, it still has a number of exclusive baked goods that shoppers crave. Some are limited-time items, while others are permanent fixtures.
Many of Aldi's most popular products (baked goods included) are Aldi Finds, a special category of products that are often (but not always) seasonally-themed which get delivered mid-week and won't be restocked. As in, once they're gone, they're gone unless Aldi elects to bring them back a different week. Many of these are well-liked enough to appear every year.
The best Aldi Bakery Finds in 2026 include two treats from Aldi's venerable Bake Shop brand. One is a variant of its popular sandwich cookies which are enthusiastically welcomed back every Easter, and the other is an autumnal version of its popular cake bites. As with all Aldi Finds, these were already released for 2026 and have already come and gone. Also represented here is Aldi's popular Specially Selected brand in the form of a decadent brioche creation that calls to mind luxurious cinnamon rolls.
Bake Shop Carrot Cake Sandwich Cookies
The first of the Bake Shop treats to make this list, these Carrot Cake Cookie Sandwiches are a recurring Aldi Find themed around Easter. Appropriately, that's also when they can typically be found: in 2026, they rolled out to stores on April 1, five days before Easter. And shoppers tend to keep an eye out for them.
These Aldi cookies are a popular buy year after year. The soft cookies are a flavorful balance against the creaminess of the cream cheese filling and are especially recommended for fans of carrot cake, though you don't need to be to enjoy them. One fan on Reddit said, "If they weren't 180 calories each, I would eat the whole box myself. And I don't even like carrot cake."
Some people have suggested these cookies can also be found at rival grocery stores, but that's not true. Other retailers may carry similar sandwich cookies, but the exclusivity of Aldi's private labels (like Bake Shop) is one of the things to be aware of when buying Aldi's bakery items. Such confusion may be why the label on the most recent batch added the phrase "an Aldi original."
Specially Selected Apple Cinnamon Brioche Ring
It's easy to miss even for seasoned shoppers, but Aldi loves a brioche product. Of nine (mostly) great Aldi Specially Selected breads, three of them are brioche, and all except the brioche bagels are worth trying. If the Apple Cinnamon Brioche Ring were part of the regular inventory, its excellence definitely would have made the cut.
This brioche ring is best eaten as seven pull-apart rolls of sweet, eggy, fluffy bread laced with apple and cinnamon. There's no icing included, but it's hard to look at the tray without thinking of cinnamon rolls, only boosted by additional apple flavoring — and there's no reason you couldn't add your own icing, if you wanted.
Even un-iced, customers loved this early September Aldi Find. One surprisingly satisfied Reddit user raved, "It's so extremely soft, great texture, and the apple & cinnamon is a great flavor and not too sweet." Another customer noted the filling is somewhat sparse but is flavorful enough that not much is needed to make this one of Aldi's best bakery finds.
Bake Shop Pumpkin Cake Bites
The Bake Shop brand is behind another Aldi all-timer this year, and it's an exceptional, early fall Aldi Find. The reemergence of these Pumpkin Cake Bites is a sign of changing seasons for Aldi shoppers, and one that is highly sought-after.
These delightful mini cakes have a sweet pumpkin flavor accented by cinnamon and a streusel topping. If you're not sure just what exactly streusel is, it's a mixture of butter, flour, and sugar (and sometimes seasoning) that bakes into a sweet, buttery crumble. It's the perfect topping for many baked goods, including coffee cake, which may be part of why these are sometimes called Coffee Cake Bites even though the word coffee isn't on the label.
Regardless of what people call them, they're well-liked. One appreciative Reddit user said, "These are amazing! I just got these yesterday and already half of them are gone." For anyone that missed out on these, Aldi releases an also-good Apple Cider version as well so keep your eye out for both.
