The Belgian Chocolate Bar You Can Find At Five Below
Five Below is known for its budget-friendly toys, board games, electronics, and other knick-knacks. With most items priced at $5 or less, you can redesign your bedroom, declutter your kitchen, or stock up on seasonal holiday finds at a fraction of the price of other stores. But, among its chaotic aisles, Five Below also offers some great chocolate bars to look out for on your next shopping trip. The chain even leans into the viral Dubai chocolate craze with Beemax's Angel Hair chocolate bar. This bright pink-colored confection offers a burst of flavor for the taste buds and is also a treat for the eyes too. It's a unique mix of fruity, nutty, and wildly sugary, perfect for those with the sweetest sweet tooth. And it only costs $5!
Made with Belgian raspberry white chocolate and pistachio cream, the bar is stuffed with Pişmaniye, or Turkish cotton candy, a fluffy pulled sugar that results in sweet, elegantly fine strands. These wispy, delicate candy strands are what give the bar its name and signature texture. Notably, this viral treat stands in stark contrast to its Dubai chocolate companion, which came first and is known for its crunchy texture thanks to its Kataifi center, a Middle Eastern shredded pastry dough.
A relatively new brand, BeeMax got its start in 2021. In addition to the Angel Hair chocolate bar, the company sells a wide variety of delectable Belgian chocolates, including mint, s'mores, dark chocolate, pumpkin, and salted caramel. The New Jersey-based company also sells honey, which it sources from Mediterranean regions, mini chocolate-flavored waffle cones, and chocolate fruit sticks.
An angelic chocolate that's sinfully sweet
Angel hair chocolate started trending on social media in 2025. It was particularly popular on TikTok, for showcasing the dramatic cotton candy and kadaidi strands when you crack the bar open in the middle. Still, chocolate lovers are divided on the Beemax variety. "Gorgeous taste; the pistachio cream does cut the sweetness of the Angel hair," wrote one Redditor. "It is rich, and fortunately, designed to break off a bar at a time." Another user in the same thread enthused that it was "the best I've ever had [...] This chocolate cannot compare to anything else I've tried." However, some were not falling for the hype. "I think I wasted my money," admitted one TikTok reviewer, who paid $25 for the bar, adding, "This doesn't blend together well. I don't know whose idea it was, but it wasn't a good one."
Belgian company Tucho is credited with creating the Angel Hair chocolate bar, sending the internet into a frenzy not long after it was released in December 2024. But don't fret if you're not a fan of the peculiar texture and overly sweet Angel Hair bar from Beemax, as Five Below also carries the brand's cheesecake chocolate bar, along with its original Dubai chocolate, and matcha strawberry cream. The discount chain also sells other Dubai-style chocolates from brands like Galerie Au Chocolat, Just the Fun Part, and Lindt.
