How In-N-Out Burger Continues To Expand Nationwide In 2026
Late last year, we included In-N-Out Burger in our list of 10 booming burger chains that will take over 2026, thanks to the chain's major expansion efforts in 2025, including opening several locations in Nashville and expanding into Washington. Now, we have updates on where In-N-Out plans to expand this year, further cementing it as one of the most prominent burger chains (which, by the way, is still family-owned despite its massive success).
On the In-N-Out website, there are five new locations listed as "opening soon." Here are the cities that get to look forward to a brand new In-N-Out opening: Buckeye, Arizona; Las Vegas, Nevada; Madison, Tennessee; St. George, Utah; and Vancouver, Washington. Currently, there's no information as to exactly when these locations will be opening, so if you're located in one of these cities, keep an eye out for any updates regarding the grand openings.
What else to know about In-N-Out's expansion
With these new announcements, Nevada, Utah, and Arizona will each have six In-N-Out locations. Meanwhile, Tennessee will have five and Washington will have two.
Of course, that is nowhere close to the nearly 300 locations that are open in the state of California, but these expansions are still quite notable, especially considering that the chain existed solely in Southern California for decades after first opening in 1948 because the founders, Harry and Esther Snyder, didn't want to risk lower quality for the sake of more locations. Plus, given that these newly announced locations have come so soon after last year's, it seems safe to say that we can possibly expect even more expansion going into the rest of this year and next.
This means that states that have never seen an In-N-Out may be getting one in the near future. With this in mind, if you're someone who has never eaten at the popular burger chain, it may be time to start reading up on the insider advice for an In-N-Out trip, as well as the best In-N-Out secret menu items, according to customers.
