Spend your Easter weekend in any of these wonderful destinations.

The week leading up to Easter is known as Holy Week, and in countries like Brazil and Spain events celebrating Jesus and his resurrection take place every day of the week. But why is this day different every year? Well, Easter follows the lunisolar calendar and can only take place after March 20 (the spring equinox) and after the closest paschal full moon, which means Easter this year falls on April 16.

Regardless of where you are in the world, Easter weekend is spent with family and close friends. Children decorate eggs and go egg hunting while adults mingle and eat. And if you head to any of the destinations listed you’ll be able to enjoy all of these things as well as explore these glorious cities during springtime.
