Skittles Gets Tricky With Two Limited-Edition Fall Flavors

Two limited-edition Skittles flavors have arrived just in time for fall. Instagram user @candyhunting spotted packs of the returning "Cauldron" and the new "Trick Plays" on the shelves of Walgreens. A post displaying the packages side by side has been liked almost 4,000 times.

The Halloween-themed Cauldron, previously released in fall of 2016, boasts a bright orange package containing "Lurking Lemon," "Petrified Pear," "Twisted Tangerine," "Bogey Berry," and "Gripping Grape." Trick Plays, produced in partnership with the NFL, has a blue-ish green package with play formations etched on the side. This pack's colors don't match the flavors, so get ready to put your taste buds to the test. The Instagram post brands them as a rehash of Skittles Riddles or Crazy Cores.

"What I really want to see is actual fall flavors used for Wrigley candy," the account writes. "Caramel apple, apple crisp, pumpkin pie, cranberry, and wild card pecan pie. Make it happen @Skittles."
