New York City's Newest Gourmet Food Hall To Open This Fall

New Yorkers love their gourmet food halls — and why wouldn't they? The newest one on the scene, Canal Street Market, is set to debut next month, and this multivendor eatery and retail space will be 12,000 square feet located at the lively junction where Chinatown meets SoHo/Tribeca.

The new food hall seeks to "redefine the traditional 'street market' by offering the community a new lifestyle experience," according to a release. "Consumers will be immersed in the sights, sounds and flavors from the best purveyors and creators all under one roof, year round with endless opportunities for culinary mixing, dining, retail and social interaction."

The food hall, set to open Nov. 1, will feature more than 11 curated food and beverage vendors including Yori Nori, a brand new concept from the owners of Korilla and Mokbar, Davey's Ice Cream, Dessert Lab, Joy Luck Dim Sum, and Boba Guy's

The retail side of Canal Street Market, opening Oct. 13, will feature more than 27 artist and brand booths including artist Emily Johnston, Virginia Sin, and Fox Fodder Farm Flowers. One of the booths will be an artist residency fishbowl concept where selected artists will bring their work to life in a 100–square-foot glass enclosed room.

Artisanal food, drinks, art, and culture will soon be in one eclectic, unique, and innovative market — a New Yorker's dream come true.
