Tips

  • You don't have to pay taxes if you pay in cash.
  • This spot mainly serves seafood-based dim sum. The shumai (pork and shrimp) and the har gow (shrimp) dumplings are great. But the best thing here is the warm custard filled "little piggy" bun.
  • Get here early (before 1pm) because they stop production of new dim sums around 2. This place is legitttt. Get the usj - shrimp dumps, turnip cake, football shaped fried one, and try the tendons!
  • Yum! Great dimsum at cheap prices. Come at 10:30 AM for a shorter wait. The radish cake and shrimp dumplings are delicious, and the pig egg custard buns are very popular.
  • Cheap, tasty dim sum. The line can be long but moves fast!
  • The custard filled little piggy buns are delicious
  • Open for non-banquet business again, but quality seems to have slipped a little. Prices are still low though
  • Come for the gram, stay for the quality food at the best possible price
  • Cheap tasty food. Get jellyfish and quail. Shumai is great too.
  • liked the dumplings, loved the chicken feet, didn't at all like the pork bao. but man are those prices sweet
  • Salted duck yolk custard steamed bun
  • Har Gow. Translucent wheat-and-tapioca-starch skin filled with shrimp
  • The piglet buns are cute but the food taste so so
  • Food is good, just didn't see enough variety of dim sum on the carts. Same stuff kept rotating.
  • My favorite dim sum joint in NYC! Everything is fresh and well-prepared, with lots of variety. Come around 11:30 to be seated by noon. Pay in cash to avoid sales tax.
  • Get there by 11a on weekends to avoid the crazy waits. Food is on par with Golden Unicorn/Jing Fong but significantly cheaper.
  • Kids go nuts for the piggy steamed buns, which are filled with custard.
  • Fact: Dim sum doesnt have to be a weekend-only affair. Pop into this Chinatown spot for dumplings, egg tarts and possibly the worlds cutest custard buns (shaped like little pigs, awww).

  • Har Gow - Grubstreet's #22 NYC dumpling
