Food Network Is Airing a TV Show Focused on Bad Yelp Reviews
Leaders with Food Network announce a new show that features Yelp reviewers called 12 Hungry Yelpers, where restaurant owners read scathing Yelp reviews and improve their businesses based on Yelpers' opinions. Monti Carlo will host the series. She was a MasterChef season three finalist who also hosts a show on the FYI Network. No premiere date has yet been set for the new show, but it will likely air sometime this fall.
Wayback Burgers Surprised People With Free Cheez Whiz Milkshakes on April Fool's Day
Alright, so the guys over at Wayback Burgers almost fooled us when they sent over a fake press release for a Cheez Whiz Milkshake on Friday. After all, with all of the weird food combinations out there, was a vanilla milkshake mixed with artificial cheese so far-fetched? It turned out to be an April Fool's Day prank. But the joke's on us: At select locations, Wayback Burgers handed out free Cheeeesy Gold Milkshakes to anyone who was daring enough to try it. The milkshakes were available in one size, and were limited to one per customer.
Chipotle Is Testing Out a New Beer and Cocktail Menu
Finally: Leaders with Chipotle announce a new beer and cocktail menu that includes frozen margaritas and sangria, as well as bottled and on-tap beers. Chipotle already offers margaritas made with Patron and bottled beers at a number of its locations, but this test would expand the chain's alcohol program. For the under-21 crowd, Chipotle will offer watermelon agua fresca, a hibiscus tea, and a new sustainable iced tea, as well. There will also be a few craft fountain sodas available for purchase.
That's today's Daily Dish, thanks for watching. Stop by tomorrow for another helping.
