Anita Lo Heads To San Francisco For The James Beard Foundation's Taste America Dinner Nov. 4

The James Beard Foundation continues its fourth annual Taste America tour on Nov. 4 in San Francisco. The foundation is traveling to 10 cities across the country to host one-of-a-kind fundraising dinners highlighting local cuisine and headlined by a visiting all-star chef and local star chef, as well as cooking demos, artisanal tastings, and book signings.

The exclusive dinner benefiting the James Beard Foundation will take place at The InterContinental San Francisco with a cocktail and tasting reception starting at 5:30 p.m. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. and will feature a menu crafted by Taste America all-star Anita Lo of Annisa in New York City; local star and James Beard Award winner Charles Phan of The Slanted Door; pastry chef Belinda Leong of B. Patisserie; and host chef Daniel Corey of Luce. The night will be emceed by James Beard Award winners J. Kenji López-Alt of Serious Eats and Carolyn Jung, author and founder of FoodGal.com. In addition, James Beard Award winner Cecilia Chiang and Joel Riddell, host of Dining Around, will be special guests.

The reception will feature tastings from Tim Archuleta of ICHI Sushi + NI Bar; Srijith Gopinathan of Taj Campton; Brandon Jew of Mister Jiu's; Dennis Lee of Namu Gaji; Narciso Salvador and Pim Techamuanvivit of Kin Khao; and James Beard Award winner and VIP reception chef Martin Yan of M.Y. China.
