- Sara has been a vegan and/or vegetarian for most of her life, and has been very outspoken about her sobriety and living an alcohol-free lifestyle. She enjoys helping others explore and embrace these dietary preferences.
- As an avid home baker, Sara is at home wherever there is a KitchenAid and a pie scorer. She grew up baking everything from whoopie pies to apple pies, and has since started developing her own recipes on her Substack, Rhody Bakes.
- In college, she could be found slinging dough at the local pizzeria, which spawned her self-proclaimed pizza snobbery.

Sara is an award-winning writer and photographer with bylines in numerous food and dining publications, including Tasting Table, Chowhound, Mashed, The Takeout, as well as environmental publications, including The Cool Down, and equine publications, including The Plaid Horse. Her editorial career highlights include interviews with celebrity chefs, including Rick Bayless, Alex Guarnaschelli, and Marcus Samuelsson, as well as features with rising stars in the non-alcoholic beverage scene. She is also the owner and founder of Sara Klimek Media, a comprehensive digital media company offering content development, photography, and social media management services to local equine businesses in New England.
Education
She holds a bachelor's degree in environmental studies with double minors in food systems and nutrition and food sciences from the University of Vermont. She also obtained a master's degree in agricultural extension education from the University of Arkansas.
