These Fries Are The Best Side On Wawa's Menu, Hands Down
Long before Buc-ee's, Wawa was selling fast food with a cult following out of a convenience store. Plus, Wawa isn't afraid of opening in any state. The Pennsylvania-based chain that we wish was everywhere has a full menu of sandwiches, burgers, wraps, snacks, burritos, tacos, and sides. Many of the locations run on convenience store hours, meaning you can grab a bite from the extensive menu any time of day. We sent our reviewer to their local Wawa to try nine different sides, and one stood above the rest: the cheesesteak loaded fries.
According to our reviewer, the only downside to this side was that it is more of a small meal than an accompaniment to your lunch or dinner. Everything else they found to be perfect. The amount of cheese and thin-sliced steak was generous, and the fries were soft without being mushy. Altogether, the dish is savory, cheesy, and starchy. Fans of cheesesteak and fans of loaded fries can come together and split this side next time they visit Wawa.
