So Gross: The One Chick-Fil-A Breakfast Sandwich You Should Avoid Ordering At All Cost

No one wants to start their morning on a disappointing note. Your first meal of the day should be both wholesome and delicious. Unfortunately, our reviewer tried 11 breakfast items at Chick-fil-A and found the Egg White Grill breakfast sandwich's taste and texture to be "so gross."

Our reviewer deemed the egg on the Egg White Grill to be bland and watery, ruining the taste and texture of the otherwise decent piece of grilled chicken. Even the quality English muffin couldn't make up for the unappealing combination. Sadly, our reviewer took two bites and had to tap out, saying they couldn't be paid (again) to eat this dish in the future and describing it as "stuffed with mediocrity and sadness." Perhaps they would have been better off waiting for Chick-fil-A's 2026 fall breakfast menu to come out — it features chicken and waffle breakfast sandwiches.

Not everyone on the internet shares our reviewer's harsh perspective. "Which is [the] better breakfast sandwich?" asked a Reddit user regarding the Egg White Grill and the Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit. No one seemed grossed out by the Egg White Grill. In fact, a few respondents listed it as a favorite. "I could live off of them," wrote one commenter.

This could be a case of some of the most common customer complaints about Chick-fil-A: Orders are messed up, sandwiches can be too soggy, and the food doesn't always match the marketing. In another Reddit post, a person asked, "Has the [Egg White Grill] changed?!" They were a big fan of the breakfast item but had a bad experience with one that featured an untoasted muffin. When asked about the untoasted muffin, the staff seemed confused. Commenters described similar breakdowns in kitchen communication, with staff unable to explain or fix what had gone wrong. Inconsistent execution most likely explains the divide between our reviewer's experience and the sandwich's loyal defenders.
