But, wait, what are Beaver Nuggets? Before you panic — no, these nuggets aren't made from actual beavers (or meat of any kind), but they are delicious. They're actually so good, Southern Living has called them the stores' signature snack, and Bucc-ee's fansite Texas Snax calls them their "favorite" snack. So, what are they?
This caramel-coated corn-puff snack food is a type of popcorn that comes in various flavors, including the initial lineup of original, cheddar cheese, and jalapeno. Buc-ee's has also started selling spicy, sea salt caramel, and chocolate-dipped nuggets. On sites like Amazon, you can even order white fudge and cinnamon varieties. One thing to note about Buc-ee's Beaver Nuggets, though, is that they are very high in calories. For example, the original nuggets are 130 calories per ounce, according to My Fitness Pal, and they come in 13-ounce bags. That means that if you chow down on a whole bag on your drive, you have consumed 1,690 calories.
