Flora Springs Wild Boar Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 1997

This Cabernet originates in the Pope Valley Region of the Napa Valley. Many consider this region the last frontier of Napa. In keeping with the wild, untamed character of Pope Valley and the wild marauding boars that invade our vineyard and enjoy grapes almost as much as we do, we named this robust, highly concentrated Cabernet – Wild Boar.
The Wild Boar Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon has firm tannins that support very concentrated fruit. This is a muscular wine with immediate appeal. It is rustically styled and accented with spicy black currants, anise and a touch of tobacco. We consider this a wine that harkens back to a traditional style California Cabernet.
