Wendy's Voted Most Popular In Reader Poll

News broke last week that Wendy's may become the second-largest burger chain in the U.S., and it looks like our readers are happy about that. We asked readers what their favorite burger chain is, and Wendy's came in first with 32 percent of the votes.

McDonald's, the largest burger chain, got second place with 26 percent of the votes; Burger King received 17 percent. Sonic Drive-In had 14 percent, and Jack in the Box came in with 11 percent.

Wendy's owners should probably thank the revamp of Wendy's menu for their popularity (not to mention their $2.99 price point).

The red-pigtailed company first made splashes with their sea-salt fries, and their new burger, Dave's Hot 'N Juicy, is upgraded with a 2.5-ounce patty. Nation's Restaurant News predicted Wendy's growth, and it looks like customers agree. McDonald's, with its slow makeover and somewhat stagnant menu, may have to work harder for customer approval.
