Urban Outfitters Opening Up A Restaurant And Bar
The popular "hipster" clothing store, Urban Outfitters opening in Williamsburg will not only a place to go for clothes, but also for food, as reported by HitFix. Apparently Urban Outfitters is planning on opening an upscale restaurant featuring pricey menu items that include a $39 ribeye steak and $19 vegetable plate.
While the food menu looks great, it's unclear if they will serve alcohol. Apparently, the retailer is looking for a full liquor license most likely because shoppers will make the smartest style choices if this happens.
This isn't the first Urban Outfitters to serve food in their clothing store. At other Urban Outfitters Terrain stores, "eating and shopped merged." Terrain's president, Wendy McDevitt believes "customers who eat or drink wine will typically stick around the store for twice as long."
Other Urban Outfitters in Malibu, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, and Burbank also sell ice cream, as reported by Eater.
