Whether you plan on eating this with tortilla chips, on tacos, or even by itself, this incredible guacamole recipe is made with only five ingredients and couldn’t be easier to prepare. The key ingredient is pickled jalapeños, which turns a basic guac into something completely addicting.
If you can’t find pickled jalapeños, just substitute fresh jalapeños, but make sure to remove the seeds if you don't like a lot of spice.
- 1 bunch cilantro leaves removed from stems, roughly chopped
- 1/4 Cup pickled jalapeño, chopped
- 1/2 white onion, minced
- 2 limes, juiced
- 4 avocados, halved and pits removed
- salt to taste
Add all the ingredients, except the avocados to a bowl.
With a large spoon, scoop out the flesh of the avocados.
Using a baking sheet wire rack, a small potato masher, or even a whisk, lightly mash the avocados and add to the rest of the ingredients.
Season with salt and gently stir everything until combined, making sure not to over-mix.
