Meet The Four-Legged Ambassadors Welcoming Guests At The London West Hollywood
Located on Sunset Boulevard with picturesque views overlooking both the Hollywood Hills and downtown Los Angeles, the London West Hollywood has always been a hotspot for both visitors to the city and locals. But now, guests are welcomed by the arrival of The London's new ambassadors, Winston and Churchill.
They're not your typical Los Angeles celebrities either. Named after the former British prime minister, brothers Winston and Churchill are a pair of adorable English bulldog puppies that have been adopted by the hotel. The London is now their luxurious full-time home, and they'll be well and truly embraced as part of the family. Hotel guests are able to meet the four-legged heartthrobs twice a day in their doggie hangout, Hampton Court, or on their daily walks around the hotel. And, like most Hollywood celebrities, they're expected to bring a mass of diehard fans wanting photographs, too.
If you're hosting a group event at one of The London's numerous venue spaces, you're also able to invite Winston and Churchill to the party with a $250 donation to a Los Angeles animal shelter. And, let's be honest here – if your party doesn't immediately become the Instaworthy event of the year after these young photogenic brothers crash it, nothing can save it.
Coinciding with Winston and Churchill's arrival at The London West Hollywood, the hotel has also launched several pet-friendly amenities, including Winston's Menu, dog-friendly dining created by executive chef Anthony Keene. Yes, your pooch can now order room service from a variety of offerings including The London Pooch, made with fresh chicken, brown rice, potatoes and whole eggs; Doggie Bags Treats in peanut butter, veggie and fruit flavors; and Orijen dry food. And, of course, a vegetarian option for dogs is also available too.
For guests bringing their furry friends to stay with them at The London, a selection of premium dog beds, leashes, water, and food bowls and toys are available during their time at the hotel. Dogs less than 30 pounds are able to be accommodated for a nightly pet fee of $20 and a $100 cleaning fee.
If dog treats don't suit your appetite and you'd rather something more targeted to the human palate, Boxwood on the Roof serves up creative poolside cocktails, as well as a selection of refreshing dishes to match the sunshine bathed views over Los Angeles that you'll be soaking up, including a fresh spicy tuna poke with seaweed and edamame; a truly decadent butter-poached lobster roll; and to finish it off, an assortment of effervescent gelato and sorbet, as well as its signature slice of rich chocolate tart.
The addition of these pet-friendly services brings another unique element to this Sunset Strip gem. With stunning poolside views overlooking all of Los Angeles, and a laid-back, contemporary attitude, the London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills provides the ultimate trendy escape for all dog-lovers.
