The Catskill Mountain County Store (Slideshow)

The Catskill Mountain Country Store

Welcome to the Catskill Mountain Country Store. Located on outer Main Street in Windham, N.Y., here you'll find great food, unique gifts, and items from local artisans.

Locally Grown Produce

The Shuster family prides themselves on selling locally grown produce. Here's a selection of what they carry.

Some of the assortment of bagged candy available at the store. Here's some delicious licorice and hard candy drops.

Homemade Fudge

Just a sampling of Sydney Shuster's great fudge. She makes some very unusual flavors, all delicious.  Fudge is available for purchase online. Sydney has been the store's fudge chef since she was 5; she is now 16.

More Local Products

An assortment of local maple syrup, honey, teas, and hard-to-find hot sauces. The store puts out a line under their own label. There are some very unusual combos here, so why not try them all?

Gift Store

A delight for kids of all ages. This is just one section of the toy room at the store. Games, dolls and unusual toys are available at very reasonable prices, and many are made by local artisans.

The dining room is a cozy and inviting space for a relaxed breakfast or lunch. In better weather, dine alfresco on the deck, just beyond the back windows. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast and lunch.

The Owners

Owners Drew and Natasha Shuster standing in front of their newest addition of specially made jams and fruit preserves. The recipes come from Natasha's grandfather.

Animal cookies in the shape of animals indigenous to the Catskill Mountains. What a neat idea for kids... and adults, too.

Stephen P Burger

Check out the portion size! You won't leave here hungry. This is the Stephen P burger and it's loaded with Cheddar, bacon, and caramelized onions. Underneath is an 8-ounce grass-fed Angus beef burger all on a sourdough roll. It's unbelievable that it's priced at less than $10.

Homemade Donuts

Here are just a few of the varieties of Gus Shuster's delicious donuts. Gus, now 14, had his donut idea at the tender age of 3. They are his secret recipe and only he and his sous chef know it.
