Sprinkles Cupcakes To Open In The Middle East

Hollywood's favorite cupcakes are heading to the Middle East, starting with the opening of the first Sprinkles Cupcakes store in Kuwait in January.

The Middle East menu will feature the same flavors that are offered in the U.S., including red velvet, Sprinkles Cupcakes' best-seller. Sprinkles Cupcakes include vanilla made from Madagascar bourbon and dark chocolate made from bittersweet Belgian chocolate, along with flavors like chai latte and ginger lemon. Seasonal summertime selections include Key lime, cherry, and lemon-blueberry.

Sprinkles Cupcakes is also creating custom sugar decorations to symbolize local holidays and monuments in the Middle East for its cupcake confections.

The company has signed a franchise agreement with M.H. Alshaya Co., an international retail franchise operator, to bring the gourmet cupcakes to several Middle East locations, including Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
