Quick and Easy Guacamole

Crème fraîche adds a lovely zing to this great recipe

Notes

If you’ve got leftover guacamole, no worries. It will keep, in a covered bowl or a sealed plastic container. Plunk an avocado in there, too. That will keep the guacamole from turning an unappetizing shade of brown.

Ingredients

  • 2 limes
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons sour cream or crème fraîche
  • 2 ripe avocadoes, peeled and pitted
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, roughly chopped, for garnish

Directions

Juice the limes into a bowl. Add the tomatoes, sour cream or crème fraîche, avocados, and salt and mash it all up with a fork or the back of a spoon. You want to leave it lumpy, not blender-smooth.

Season with more salt if needed, then sprinkle the cilantro on top. Yum.
