Many of the week's best events are free like Super Bowl Boulevard, a four-day celebration spanning 13 blocks of Broadway featuring free food and drink samples, interactive displays, athlete meet-and-greets, and nightly concerts. Papa John's is giving away free slices of its yet-to-be-annoucned newest pizza creation, McDonald's is handing out cups of McCafe Coffee while Snickers and M&Ms are serving free chocolate treats.
Those seeking shelter from the cold while hoping to eat elbow-to-elbow with NFL players can book a table at Forty Ate, a pop-up steakhouse collaboration with Danny Meyer's catering company Union Square Events and the Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel on West 48th Street.
There's even a party for those yearning for fun in the sun. NFL alums like Joe Montana take on celebrities like chef Guy Fieri and comedian Tracy Morgan at the DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl at Pier 40, Hudson River Park. The action takes place in a heated tent, which contains a 'beach' made from 1 million pounds of sand.
No matter how you choose to celebrate, there's an NYC Super Bowl Party for food lovers to suit every taste, from the weekend warrior to the ultimate NFL fan. Game on!
