July Travel Deals And Events Roundup
July has officially arrived and it promises a host of deals and promotions to kick off your summer travel plans. We've rounded up some food and travel deals and events that have caught our eye. Check out the list below:
Rocky Gap Casino Resort announced new promotions, specials, and entertainment at their Cumberland, Md., location. Throughout the month of July, Rewards Club members will be able to earn triple points every Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. at the slots, with quadruple points if members play on July 4. They've also announced Specialty Buffet Nights at Lakeside Restaurant, with cuisine ranging from Asian to Italian on each night of the week, and a surf-and-turf buffet on the weekends. Drink specials will be available every Tuesday and Thursday, as well as an extensive lineup for live entertainment.
The Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, N.J., is hosting an oceanfront barbecue and fireworks for July 4. The event will have an open bar and an outdoor barbecue, and guests can watch the fireworks from the resort's Ocean View Terrace. Guests can expect traditional barbecue fare as well as a grilled catch of the day.
The second annual Peru to the World Expo will be taking place July 13 and 14 at the Altman building in New York City. There will be live cooking demonstrations from Peruvian chefs, who will be highlighting quinoa as one of the main ingredients. Peruvian scallops, osso bucco, and salmon ceviche are three of many dishes that ticket-holders can expect to eat while experiencing entertainment such as a fashion show and live salsa music.
The Kimpton Park Avenue Hotel is offering a Royal Babymoon package to celebrate the upcoming birth of Will and Kate's new addition. Geared toward expectant moms, the package includes a deluxe room, welcome mocktail, a prenatal massage, a Serendipity frozen hot chocolate, and a teddy bear.
From July 28 to Aug. 4, San Francisco's Union Square will be home to The Grand Tasting Tent that will showcase some of San Francisco's best food and wine. Tyler Florence of Wayfare Tavern and Martin Yan of M.Y. China are two of many chefs that will showcase food as well as hosting demonstrations, dinners, and special parties throughout the week. Other event highlights include Bar Bites, which will feature food and drinks from different bars in the Bay Area, and Food Arts Industry Day, a panel that will discuss upcoming trends in the Bay Area restaurant industry.
