Homeless Man Lives Luxuriously At Orlando Hotel
David Price, a 30-year-old homeless man, was arrested Saturday at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando Resort after he racked up $3,000 on a previous guest's credit card, according to USA Today.
The man snuck into the room shortly after guest Joseph Barak checked out. Price called the front desk and said he was staying longer. Then, he began ordering room service, expensive drinks, and other amenities before being caught by hotel staff, according to USA Today.
"I don't know how he got in my room, how he got my debit card. But he got like the best wines, the best restaurants, room service. He bought clothes and the whole ball of wax," Barak told USA Today.
Apparently this isn't the first time Price went on a pricey spending spree. Hotel staff found items from the nearby Peabody Hotel in the room at the Hard Rock, and court papers show Price has duped other luxury hotels in the area, including the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cypress, and Lowes Portofino Bay at Universal, where he racked up $9,000 alone, according to USA Today.
