Thanksgiving Day Décor

The menu is planned, the day is here, and you cannot wait to have your friends and family join you for Thanksgiving Day dinner. But don't sit down just yet. Dust off your decorating hat and add an inviting and personal touch to your home this holiday season. Here are three fun and easy ways to keep your guests talking all through dinner about your styling prowess.

Candles

Who doesn't love a lovely candlelight dinner?  This Thanksgiving think outside the box and place those warm glows throughout your home. Tall tapered candles held by stunning bronze or silver candelabras make the home feel joyful. But don't stop there; set the scene with multiple tea lights all around. You can choose colored and scented candles that coordinate with your current décor. Think cranberry with brass or grey with pewter. If live flames are not an option, there are many stylish electronic candles that will have your guests believing it's the real thing.

Fresh Wreaths and Garland

One of our favorite décor trends for this year's Thanksgiving is fresh wreaths and garland. Not only is this an easy way to bring some greenery into the home, but they also provide a wonderful crisp scent throughout your house. Hang your wreaths or encircle them around candles and dishes. Garland is perfect as a runner or draped over doorways. Many florists and greenhouses carry a variety of strands and wreaths. Some popular varieties include ivy, Italian Ruscus, Myrtle, magnolia, eucalyptus, and ferns. Since there are so many different types of branches and leaves available, you are sure to find just the right fit for your own personal style.

Fruits and Vegetables

Use ornamental edibles to add the perfect harvest touch to your home and table. Pair colorful fruits and vegetables, like persimmons, kale, and pomegranate, in a dish around the house. They work brilliantly as a centerpiece for the dining room table. And you can stage them in unexpected places like the mantle, coffee table, or windowsill for a delightful festive look. Some of our favorites include blood oranges, multi-colored gourds, pumpkins, and even peppers. Endeavor to be creative with these gorgeous bites, and create the perfect seasonal décor for your home on Thanksgiving.
