'The Flavor Of Midtown' To Take Over Grand Central Terminal May 2
The 13th annual "Grand Gourmet — The Flavor of Midtown" will take over the cavernous Vanderbilt Hall inside New York's Grand Central Terminal on Tuesday, May 2, from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and some of the area's best restaurants and food shops will be there to serve samples of their signature dishes.
B.R. Guest Hospitality will serve as the 2013 event chair, and chef Michael Vignola, of BR Guest's Strip House Midtown, will serve as the Chef Captain.
After the event, all remaining food will be picked up by City Harvest, and net proceeds from the event will benefit the Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services Corporation, the largest nonprofit homeless services provider in New York City.
The event is part of the ongoing celebration of the famed terminal's 100th anniversary, and many notable restaurants will be showcasing their food there. Benjamin Steakhouse, Cibo, Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant, Kellari Taverna, La Fonda Del Sol, Lexington Brass, Michael Jordan's The Steakhouse N.Y.C., Murray's Cheese Shop, Ruby Foo's Times Square, Strip House Midtown, The Capital Grille, The Sea Fire Grill, and more than a dozen more restaurants will be represented, as well as beverages from Beer Table Pantry, Hosmer Winery, JOE, Lucas Vineyards, Vermont Spirits, and Wagner Vineyards.
Tickets are available here. General admission is $125, and VIP admission is $350, and includes early admittance at 6:15 p.m.
