You'll Never Believe The Crazy Things People Put On Their Pizza

Living in an era of unbridled culinary experimentation has its pros and cons. Sometimes you end up with a croissant-doughnut hybrid that has people lining up for hours, and sometimes... you end up with a pizza topped with a whole roast chicken. Here are 11 absurd things that people have topped their pizza with.

Cashews and Cream Cheese

The "A Nutty Idea" pizza at Roma Restaurant in Greeley, Colorado, is topped with cashews, cream cheese, pepperoni, mozzarella, and tomatoes. Nutty indeed.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Chicken tikka masala is one of the most popular foods in the U.K. (and it's essentially chicken in a spiced tomato cream sauce), so it only makes sense that it would have eventually ended up on a pizza. We're okay with this.

Corn Dogs

This delectable fusion of two favorite American dishes is available at the annual Minnesota State Fair. Festival attendees can head over to the food tent to taste this pizza topped with deep-fried corn dogs.

Corned Beef and Cabbage

Americans tend to do some pretty outlandish things with food in celebration of St. Patrick's Day — such as adding green food coloring to beer and bagels and stuffing egg rolls with corned beef and cabbage. At Colony Grill in Stamford, Connecticut, the famous pizza is layered with this classic Irish dish in honor of the holiday. But if you ask us, the staff is a little skimpy with the corned beef!

Crab Rangoon

Fong's Pizza in Des Moines is known for topping pizzas with classic Chinese-American dishes. One of its most popular varieties is the crab Rangoon pizza, which includes a cream cheese sauce, chunks of crab, and a sprinkling of chopped green onions and wonton chips.

Giant Insects

Nope nope nope nope nope.

This frozen haggis-topped pizza claims to be "pizzeria style," but if any actual pizzeria worth its salt attempted to serve this it'd be laughed out of existence.

Junk Food

If you're going to top your pizza with peanut butter, chocolate, two types of M&M's, marshmallows, and what we're pretty sure is Count Chocula, don't serve it right next to a pizza topped with tomato, basil, and goat cheese (and whatever the heck is topping that other quarter of the pie). All those smells definitely don't work together.

Ian's Pizza in Milwaukee serves some crazy pizza creations, but its poutine pizza is nothing short of genius. This one is topped with cream sauce, mozzarella, French fries, gravy, and cheese curds. We bet it's delicious, but we also bet that one slice is enough.

Some people apparently love topping their cheese pizza with shrimp, but we just can't wrap our heads around it. Shrimp and cheese is not an enjoyable flavor combination, and Italians would call it sacrilege.

Whole Roast Chicken

Some pizzeria in Brazil decided to top its pizza with the craziest things it could think of, including car tires and an entire case of beer. But we're partial to this one, topped with an entire roast chicken. It's just so silly.
