Spoil Your Taste Buds With The New Seasonal Menu At San Francisco's Bluestem Brasserie

Bluestem Brasserie owners and dynamic husband-wife duo, Adam and Stacy Jed, are excited to introduce John Griffith as the newest executive chef. Located on Yerba Buena Lane in San Francisco, Bluestem Brasserie sets the scene for urbanized American fare.

Chef John Griffith's recent transition from the opening chef role at The Advocate has enabled him to join the Bluestem Brasserie team. He has familiarized himself for the past few months with Bluestem's overall philosophy of simplicity. Alongside Adam and Stacy, chef John unveils his latest menus in addition to adjustments to the overall format of the menu.

Chef John focuses on providing an unmatched culinary experience for guests with vibrant flavors and prime, fresh ingredients to revitalize the restaurant's signature dishes. His approach is minimalist, focusing on cleanly cut and composed dishes that highlight a hyper-seasonal approach to cooking with locally sourced ingredients. His goal is on healthy eating combined with a memorable dining adventure. The latest menu offers new items not only for lunch and dinner, but also for bar bites and cocktails as well.

"This is an exciting month for us as we are not only welcoming an extremely talented chef and introducing a new menu, but also celebrating Bluestem's fifth birthday," commented owner, Stacy Jed. "We have been exploring the way people dine, which led us to create a menu that features more shareable plates, as well as offering more vegetable-centric dishes that complement proteins. John's healthy lifestyle and approach to cooking shines in the new menu at Bluestem."

Highlights from chef John's new menu include: chicken liver toast, octopus, roasted cauliflower, duck confit salad, roasted half chicken, and the Brasserie Burger.

Can't forget about dessert! Bluestem Brasserie's must-try signature dessert, the Honolulu Hangover Cake is back just in time for its 5th birthday, but only for a limited time. The Honolulu Hangover cake is a rum-soaked triple-layer chocolate devil's food cake. Sound decadent enough? Get this. There is a coconut-rum filling held together with toasted marshmallow meringue, chocolate-coconut sauce, caramel-rum sauce, and topped with sweet, crunchy toasted coconut shavings and of course, inevitably garnished with an edible flower.

Located in the heart of SOMA, Bluestem Brasserie is a San Francisco urban neighborhood restaurant, providing a luxe yet cozy dining experience.  From handcrafted cocktails to signature dishes, 12 wines on tap, and a carefully curated wine list, Bluestem Brasserie serves a special treat for all tastes. With its modern décor and rooftop patio area, Bluestem Brasserie is the ideal spot for romantic date nights, a fun night out with friends, or a wind-down happy hour with co-workers. Bluestem is open daily from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.  For more information or reservations, click here.
