New England's Greatest Chefs Come Together For The Fifth Annual WGBH Food And Wine Festival

From Sept. 15 – 18, some of New England's greatest culinary talent will converge at the WGBH headquarters for the 5th annual WGBH Food and Wine Festival. With events planned throughout the weekend, guests will enjoy tastings showcasing dishes from top chefs, delicious wine and drink presentations, and live music from a collection of well-known local musicians.

Beginning with the chef's gala reception on the 15 ticket holders can peruse stations while tasting dishes from 21 award-winning chefs. Each dish will have its own unique wine or craft beer paired with it. Expect to see faces like Tiffani Faison, Chris Coombs, and Jason Tom among many others. Live music will fill the acoustic capacity of the space and the overall ambiance of the evening will be pulsing with energy and culinary artistry.

On Saturday, The Artisan Taste will feature a grand tasting pavilion replete with a live pit-BBQ demo from chef Andy Husbands, owner of newly opened The Smoke Shop in Cambridge. Also on site will be Ciao Italia! host Mary Ann Esposito who will be leading a tomato preservation demo.

To round the weekend off, Sunday starts with a brunch bar with favorite dishes served up by some of the city's best restaurants and chefs. The tunes of The Lucky 5 Jazz Band will be wafting along with the aromas for this part of the day as well.

Following the brunch bar, a culinary journey panel discussion will be led from 2:15-3:15 for VIP ticket holders. Such an exciting weekend would not be complete without a grand finale – so you can expect great things from the Food Fight from 3:30-6:30 showcasing 10 chefs and their takes on street food. The crowd gets to pick their favorite, awarding one chef with the title of Food Fight Showcase champion, 2016.

Tickets range from VIP to general admission access to a single event, or an all-access passport ticket to the entire weekend. They can be purchased here.
