Michael Jordan Is Opening A New Restaurant In Chicago

Michael Jordan's Restaurant, the first suburban restaurant to bear His Airness' name, will open July 17 in Oak Brook, Illinois.

The restaurant (1225 W. 22nd St., Oak Brook) occupies the first floor of an office building across from Oakbrook Mall.

The restaurant has a few things in common with Michael Jordan's Steak House in Chicago, including ownership (Cornerstone Restaurant Group), executive chef (Craig Couper) and a few signature dishes (including the prime Delmonico steak, said to be MJ's personal favorite).

The suburban restaurant, however, will offer a broader American menu (i.e., less reliance on steaks), which will include dishes such as shrimp hush puppies, chicken spring rolls and tuna poke.
