Kate Winslet Pines For Her Favorite Doughnut Shop In Vancouver

While on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival, actress Kate Winslet told interviewers that she misses Honey's Doughnuts in Vancouver.

"I pine for Honey's Doughnuts in Deep Cove," she said looking directly into the camera. "Pine... for Honey's Doughnuts," she reiterated.

The North Vancouver doughnut shop, which also serves other baked goods as well as soups and sandwiches, has been a local favorite for over two decades and enjoys frequent visits from celebrities while they work on films in the area, according to the CBC. Winslet was in Vancouver recently to shoot The Mountain Between Us, a forthcoming film also starring Idris Elba.

Twitter overwhelmingly agreed with the U.K. born actress.

"Another reason why I love her," tweeted user Holly Pillsbury. "She also loves doughnuts. Honey's doughnuts! Some of the best #vancity has to offer!"

"After hiking at Deep Cove last month, I got to try those Honey Donuts as well! They're delicious! Glad Kate got to try them!!" tweeted EsterGrace Juperatum.

An employee from Honey's thanked Winslet for the shout-out via their shop's Twitter account. "Thanks for the shout out," they tweeted. "It was awesome when Kate was here. Hope to see her again!!!"
