The Daily Dish: June 13, 2016

Today's first course?

Cold Stone is bringing back its shark-themed treats for a limited time as part of a summertime promotion with Discovery. The Shark Frenzy Creation and The Great Blue Cupcake ice cream cupcakes will be available in stores through July 5, 2016. The Shark Week Frenzy is a creation made with blue Sweet Cream ice cream mixed with a graham cracker pie crust and gummy sharks. Great Blue Cupcake is a chocolate cup filled with a layer of yellow cake and blue Sweet Cream ice cream, topped with blue frosting and a gummy shark. Fans that snap a picture of themselves with their shark week limited-time offering of choice and share using the hashtag #sharkfrenzycontest will have a chance to win "the ultimate viewing party prize pack."

First we had doggy ice cream and now it seems the never-ending line of human-imitation dog food is veering into the territory of alcohol. British Company Woof & Brew, known for its tea and biscuits made for dogs, has created a dog-friendly beer called Bottom Sniffer. Don't worry, canine enthusiasts: The beer doesn't actually contain any alcohol. It doesn't even fizz (because carbonation can trigger digestive issues in dogs). Bottom Sniffer is made with barley, malt, dandelion, flax, and artificial chicken flavoring.

Frito-Lay has recalled several batches of Rold Gold snacking pretzels that might have been made with flour containing undeclared peanut residue by Grain Craft. This recall follows a Hostess Brands recall affecting 710,000 products that was issued for the same reason. Affected products include select Rold Gold Tiny Twists, Thins, Sticks, and Honey Wheat Braided. There have been no illnesses reported associated with this recall, and no other Rold Gold products are impacted.

That's today's Daily Dish, thanks for watching. Stop by tomorrow for another helping.
