Here's Where To Party In Chicago On Cinco De Mayo 2016

It's fiesta time in Chicago! Get the weekend started early with one of the best drinking holidays of the year. Here are 5 Cinco de Mayo events worth checking out.

Are you a Cinco de Mayo traditionalist? Tallboy Taco has you covered with great deals on all your favorites. Casamigos tequila flights will be available for $15. Grab two tacos and a tallboy beer for $10 or treat yourself to an $8 margarita. A live DJ will be spinning Latin beats from 8pm onward so you can do your Cinco up right.

If you love Mexican in Chicago, then you love Rick Bayless. This Cinco de Mayo, you're going to want to be at the grand opening of his two West Loop concepts: the restaurant Lena Brava and craft brewery Cruz Blanca Cerveceria. Lena Brava focuses on live-fire cooking and the cuisine of Baja California Norte. Cruz Blanca will serve up European style beers with a Mexican touch, accompanied by do-it-yourself tacos from an Oaxacan-inspired walk-up taqueria. Be one of the first to check out what Bayless has been working on!

If you're over tacos, try the huevos rancheros pizza at Robert's Pizza Company instead. This spin on the classic Mexican breakfast is cooked up on the pizza with black beans, chorizo, queso fresco, and eggs. Pair it up with a hibiscus margarita for a non-traditional way to observe Cinco de Mayo.

Single partiers can find their match at Rebar's Single de Mayo party. Complimentary dance lessons and sexy games led by a matchmaking company will break the ice, and an open bar featuring mezcal margaritas, micheladas, sangria, and a Herradura Tequila tasting will keep the party going. Tickets are $55 each and can found via Rebar's Facebook page.

For hardcore Cinco de Mayo revelers, one day just isn't enough. Rockit Bar & Grill gets you, presenting the Cinco Days of Cinco de Mayo from May 2nd to May 6th. Menu specials are available through the week on many of their delicious dishes, including cilantro-lime shrimp tacos, steak quesadillas, and chicken tortilla soup. Get the most out of your Cinco!
