An Unlikely Love Affair: Jack's Stir Brew Coffee And Peloton Cycle Partner To Bring Organic Fare To New York's Fitness-Enthused
Founded in 2003 by Jack Mazzola, Jack's Stir Brew Coffee was the first coffee house in New York City to exclusively offer organic and fair trade coffee. Mazzola had his father's old-school business practices in mind, and has strived to cultivate an authentic communal atmosphere — all the while expanding his fleet of coffee houses to five locations in Manhattan and one in the Hamptons.
The newest of these locations can be found within Peloton's studio on West 23rd Street, where the two companies have partnered to bring high-quality coffee and healthier food options to fitness enthusiasts and coffee-lovers alike. The common threads between these seemingly unrelated companies are a desire to elevate the experience each offers, and to strengthen the sense of community within their customer base.
Marion Roaman, co-founder of Peloton and general manager of the New York studio, told us that "At Peloton, we pride ourselves on disrupting the fitness industry. We have accomplished that by introducing a bike that offers interactive live-streamed indoor cycling classes from our flagship studio in N.Y.C. Jack's Coffee has disrupted the coffee scene by not letting Starbucks define how we should drink coffee; something Jack Mazzola accomplished by inventing a one-of-a-kind piece of equipment [the Stir Brew Coffee Maker]. At the Peloton studio, we strive to offer a supreme luxury experience, and Jack's has mastered the art of stir brewing coffee."
The partnership has inspired Mazzola to further broaden his menu. As the coffee house owner explained, "The relationship between the two companies has further pushed the Jack's team to develop health-forward options for the Peloton riders, with the Jack's at Peloton offering a wide range of organic cold pressed juices, smoothies, and house baked goods."
