I absolutely love October with its brightly colored leaves, crisp, cool air, and dark nights. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I also love watching horror movies before Halloween — sometimes I start in August because I feel like one month isn't nearly enough time to watch all the horror movies! I'm talking everything from old-school 1920s vampire flicks with Bela Lugosi and Nosferatu all the way to "Bram Stoker's Dracula" from the '90s. Yes, I love them all!
I also love all the spooky foods people make during this time of year. From mummy corn dogs to witch's brew to bloody meatloaf and hands. I love the creativity that goes into making some of these foods for Halloween. Since I only have two Halloween-inspired recipes to share with you, I asked my friends from the Culinary Content Network if they would mind sharing some of their creations. They happily agreed because they believe everyone should enjoy this month of ghoulish Halloween treats.
Although... some did have an evil grin on their face as they handed over the recipes, bursting out with a creepy, spine-tingling laugh — muuuhahahaha! — and muttering words I couldn't understand... but I think they were saying, "Enjoy, my friend, enjoy!"
