3 MLB Stadiums That Sell Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs
Peanuts and Cracker Jacks get the glory in the timeless song "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," but another food item also happens to be synonymous with America's national pastime. Hot dogs and baseball go together like peanut butter and jelly, with one longtime purveyor being among the most notable brands. The humble origins of Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs began when the company's first stand opened in Coney Island in 1916. Since then, the all-beef beauties have been ingested en masse by competitive eaters, sold in supermarkets, and — after celebrating a century in business — they became the first official hot dog of Major League Baseball in 2017.
The partnership ended in 2019, but Nathan's Famous is still served at several ballparks during the baseball season. With an influx of gourmet items emerging on stadium menus across the country lately, the ease of eating a hot dog still remains enticing — and Nathan's Famous remains a stalwart in the wiener world. In fact, while only found in a few stadiums, the best fast food hot dog is also a store-bought favorite so you can enjoy them post-season as well.
Yankee Stadium (New York Yankees)
Nathan's Famous is still a staple close to its Coney Island home. Amidst a field of foods that can be found in Yankee Stadium — which includes eggplant calzones and an Angry Lobster Roll — the home of the New York Yankees remains a surefire spot to find Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs. You can find Nathan's Original Beef Frankfurter, Nathan's Extra Long Beef Hot Dog, and several other snacks such as Nathan's Famous crunchy crinkle fries served up throughout the stadium.
Citi Field (New York Mets)
We can thank Harry Stevens, a British immigrant who fell in love with baseball upon arriving in America in the late 1800s, for the association between the 150-year-old sport and hot dogs. His company, Harry M. Stevens Inc., is responsible for bringing hot dogs, peanuts, and soda to stadiums across the country, but it began with Polo Grounds in New York. While the Mets' home is now Citi Field (despite spending their first two seasons at the Polo Grounds in 1962 and 1963), you can find Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs in various parts of the stadium, or enjoy them for just $5 on Tuesdays.
Tropicana Field (Tampa Bay Rays)
In 2024, Tropicana Field — the home of the Tampa Bay Rays — was severely damaged by Hurricane Milton. The team played a couple of seasons at Florida's George M. Steinbrenner Field (where the Yankees do their spring training) before returning to their St. Petersburg home stadium after a major restoration effort was completed in 2026. While some portions of the stadium are all new, one constant remained: being able to nosh on Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs, which are available at multiple concession stands across Tropicana Field.
