These Trader Joe's Sour Candies Have Shoppers Flocking To Stores

Trader Joe's basically has it all — delicious snacks, easy-to-make meals, prepared food, and fun beverages. Beyond all of that, TJ's also has a large selection of candy that will delight anyone with a sweet tooth. And as it turns out, we're not the only ones who love this candy — Trader Joe's shoppers are also obsessed with this sour-sweet treat.

For anyone unfamiliar, Trader Joe's Super Sour Scandinavian Swimmers are tangy, tart, and sweet. Each bag has four tasty flavors, each of which has its own fun shape: the starfish are red berry, the dolphins are huckleberry, the tang fish are orange, and the clam shells are strawberry. They're made with ingredients such as cane sugar and tapioca syrup, as well as fruit and vegetable juices to achieve the various colors.

These sour candies are beloved amongst Trader Joe's fans on Reddit. In one Reddit thread, a TJ's shopper suspected that the Super Sour Scandinavian Swimmers may have been discontinued — the comments are full of either people reassuring the original poster that they're still in stock or freaking out about the possibility that this treat could be gone for good. One person commented, "Devastating if true." Luckily for all these fans, this candy has never been discontinued.

There are multiple Reddit threads dedicated to how much Trader Joe's shoppers love the Super Sour Scandinavian Swimmers. In one Reddit thread, the original poster wrote, "A little ashamed to admit this, but this is like the fifth bag of these [I've] gone through." A commenter added, "These are everything sour patch kids aren't. They are the perfect balance of sour and sweet, and the texture is top tier." Some of the other commenters call the candy addictive or note how they have to limit how much they eat because they're so tasty.

There is some debate amongst Redditors as to whether or not the candies are actually sour. But even those who think they aren't sour still love the candy overall.
